Configuration of the RangeXTD Wireless Extender
You can configure your rangextd wireless extender by using two methods wirelessly or using an Ethernet cable.
Configuration the Extender Wirelessly
To begin with, Turn on the power of the extender with the help of a power cable. After that click on the network icon of your desktop and try to find the RANGEXTD signal from the displayed list. When you will find the rangextd network click on the network and wait for a few seconds.
After that open, any web browser and type 192.168.7.234 rangextd IP address, and wait for a while. After some time a login page appears on your web screen. Click on that page and fill in the asked details for further process.
A list appears on your screen, select your network SSID name and enter the password details and you’re ready to access the extender wirelessly.
Configuration the RangeXTD WiFi Range Extender using cable
Firstly, plug your extender into the power outlet and connect your PC or laptop with an Ethernet cable and follow the process step by step from the manual guide.
Steps To Configure RangeXTD WiFi Repeater Wireless Mode
- The mode selector should be set to Repeater for Repeater mode. Connect the unit to a power outlet.
- Click the network icon (or) in the lower right corner of the desktop. You will find a signal from RANGEXTD. Click “Connect” and wait a few seconds.
- Open a web browser and type 192.168.7.234 in the address bar of your browser. This number is the default IP address for this unit.
Resetting RANGEXTD Repeater
Please check if the device matches the factory default settings if you cannot enter 192.168.7.234. Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds or until the LED goes out. After resetting the RANGEXTD repeater, disconnect the RANGEXTD repeater for 10 seconds. Connect it again and wait about 30 seconds, then check your Wi-Fi network for a network named ‘RANGEXTD‘ on your computer or mobile device.
- The login screen below will appear. Enter your password, then click “Login”, to log in. The default password is ‘admin‘.
- After logging in, you will see a web page below; click “Router / Repeater / AP”.
- From the list, select a Wi-Fi SSID. After choosing the Wi-Fi SSID, you must enter the password for your wireless router.
After completing the entry, click “Apply“.
After restarting, go to your device’s WLAN settings, connect to the new Wi-Fi SSID.
Set up Wi-Fi repeater mode using the RJ45 cable
Connect the device to a power outlet. Connect your computer/laptop to the device using the RJ45 cable.

Use AP mode to get a “wireless access point.” In this mode, wireless end devices will connect to the Device. You can also use this mode, for example, to make a previously unsupported router wirelessly enabled.
